Phillip Cochrane has been involved in the addiction field for the past ten years and is passionate about recovery. Phillip has worked with, and alongside, various 12 Step recovery groups and other peer led organisations.
His work includes mentoring individuals, groups and also ongoing support strategies. With a diploma in counselling and psychotherapy and other qualifications, Phillip's most prized qualification is being "A fully paid member of the school of hard knocks, where school never ends".
Philip is a volunteer member of Crew, a charity based Service provider of education and information on sexual health and drug awareness. As a volunteer he engages with a group of individuals with learning disabilities, participating in social outings and other activities.
As one of only 30 UK participants, Phillip completed Smart Recovery distance learning facilitator training from the USA. Phillip believes in the merits of peer led recovery and he brings this belief to Discover Recovery meetings.
